Generally, in order to grow juicy beefsteak tomatoes you need to have a decent size garden where you can plant the tomatoes directly in the garden, cover them with ten foot tall tomato cages, and hope that critters don’t eat your harvest before you do. With this collection, Roberta’s is bringing two brand new varieties of plump beefsteak tomatoes that can now be grown in containers! No more sacrifices in your patio or proch gardens.

This collection includes 3 of Big League and Atlas. Big League lives up to its name and produces quite frankly the largest tomatoes we’ve seen grown in containers. They produce more fruit and faster in as little as 45 days- many in ground varieties take up to 60-70 days to fruit. This is a ‘determinate’ type tomato that grows 48” at max, but may need a support to hold its juicy fruit. Atlas was selected for its sweet, old time heirloom flavor in fruit that average 1 pound. This ‘semi-determinate’ tomato yields fruit in as soon as 50 days and will bear pounds and pounds of them all summer.
