Impatiens have long been gardener’s favorite bedding plant for a long time, but when the widespread downy mildew outbreak in 2011 occurred, they lost their popularity. Now the big impatiens breakthrough has arrived! With the introduction of the new Imara® Series, there’s finally an impatien considerably more resilient to downy mildew and capable of performing till the first frost. It’s been some extensive breeding and trialling to have a variety of impatiens walleriana like this. These are low maintenance with outstanding garden performance in the sun, shade, rain or shine and touting flowers for an incredibly long period- up to 5 months!
