Outperforming other varieties in both dry and wet shady areas, this collection brings forth four gorgeously colored plants that will grace your shady garden with sprays of flowers from June to August. Growing about 1-2 feet tall and wide, they are perfect tufts for the front of borders along the home and under your trees. Nearly maintenance free, its foliage is also evergreen in mild climates. These varieties can also be grown in part sun! This collection includes 1 each of Caramel, Citronelle, Plum Pudding, and Silver Scrolls. Caramel is a French hybrid selection that has scalloped leaves that emerge gold in the spring, deepening to amber and peach. Its sturdy habit is taken a step further in the summer when it produces light pink flowers. Citronelle’s scalloped leaves are amazing glowing, chartreuse in spring, turning lemon-lime in with white flowers in summer; A terrific choice in the front of border, for edging, and mixed containers. Deer resistant! Plum Pudding produces velvety, scalloped, plum purple foliage with a shimmering metallic finish that excels in hot, humid, dry or moist conditions. Sprays of creamy flowers appear in June. These are excellent in the border or in tubs. Silver Scrolls sports rounded leaves are silver and burgundy in spring, deepening to silver and near black later in the season. Sprays of ivory-pink flowers appear in late spring, held on beet-red stems.
