There’s an old adage in the garden world referring to perennials’ growth that goes something like, “Watch ‘em sleep, creep, then leap!” What this means is that the first year your perennials will sleep, spending most of their energy growing roots underground as opposed to above-earth growth. Year two is when they creep, and slowly start to show slight exuberance in the garden. But then the magic happens in the third year when they leap and grow leaps and bounds! So, if you could, wouldn’t you rather fast track your plants and go directly to the leap stage? Us too. That’s why Roberta’s 3 pc. Three Year Old Reblooming Daylily Collection is so spectacular. This is a revolutionary concept that will drastically increase your daylily’s performance right from the get-go.

Details

We designed this collection three years ago when we planted these daylilies so that by this year they have already gone through the sleep and creep, meaning you get to go right to the leap stage! And with three complete seasons under their belts their rootstocks will be that much thicker, sturdier, and simply the best performing daylilies you’ve ever put in your garden. If you go to a garden center to get reblooming daylilies, you’ll probably find the boring stellas that everyone has. And you’ll have to wait three years for them to do much in your garden. But with our 3-yr old Daylily Collection, not only have we done the waiting for you, the three varieties in this collection are all extraordinary multi-colored, large flowering reblooming varieties that can produce hundreds of daylilies starting the first year in your garden! Each collection includes one each of Indy Rhapsody, Byzantine Emperor, and Beyond Belief. And while each collection can produce hundreds of flowers during their extended bloom season the first year, these simple to grow, winter hardy perennials will certainly get better every year, likely producing thousands of daylilies from just one collection in a couple seasons. Indy Rhapsody produces large blooms measuring 4.5 inches across for up to 5 months. These gorgeous rose red blossoms with green throat are simply magnificent! Beyond Belief is just that with incredible azalea pink flower with a fuschia eyezone and yellow throat. This is an extended rebloomer that grows about 24 inches tall. Byzantine Emperor, a truly royal daylily with enormous 6” burgundy petals and golden throat. Its lightly ruffled edges sit atop 30 inches stems.
